Glenview Youth Baseball - GYB

Glenview Youth Baseball is committed to a high level of training and coaching for all players in the Patriots travel program.  

The Patriots travel program is a part-time, competitive travel baseball program open to the residents of Glenview  and surrounding communities.  Care is taken to select the most talented players to participate in the program.  Teams are typically formed at the 8U level through 14U level.  All Patriot teams play in the Lake Shore Feeder Baseball League (LSFBL) and compete primarily against surrounding North Shore communities.  The travel baseball season runs from April through July and usually consists of 12 regular season games and a playoff tournament.  Each team will also participate in two tournaments.  Tournaments are usually regional with the exception of our 12U,13U, and 14U teams, who participate in tournaments in either Cooperstown, NY or Branson, MO (12U), Cincinnati, OH (13U),  or Myrtle  Beach, SC (14U)

Paid coaches are typically provided to the best Patriot teams at each age group from 11U through 14U.  Teams at the 8U, 9U and 10U are coached by volunteer parents.  
 

Requirements

Responsibilities of our paid coaches include but are not limited to:

• Holding a minimum of one (1) practices per week for the length of the season (April - July)
• Coordinating with coaches of opposing teams to determine the game schedule.
• The management of all regular season, tournament and playoff games throughout the season. 
• Communicating clearly and regularly with team parents.
• Maintaining professional demeanor and display high levels of integrity and sportsmanship at all times.
